Terms of Service

Who we are

These terms are for findvetspecialists.com. The operator is VetSpecialists, a micro enterprise registered in India (Udyam).

Address: Derabassi, SAS Nagar, Punjab 140507, India. We handle all requests by email.

For these terms, email hello@findvetspecialists.com. Address it to Data Protection Officer, VetSpecialists.

Using this site means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

What the site is

VetSpecialists is a directory of veterinary hospitals in Singapore and Hong Kong. We also forward some requests. That is all.

We do not give veterinary advice. We do not diagnose. We do not treat animals. We do not create a vet–client relationship. Any treatment contract is between you and the hospital you choose.

You choose the hospital. Sometimes we look up a hospital's licence on the public register, or phone a 24-hour number. When we have done that, the page shows the date. If no date is shown, we have not done that check. We do not check doctors' skills, equipment, prices, or whether a hospital can see you on a given day. We do not guarantee quality, availability, or outcomes.

Not an official register

This directory is not the Singapore Veterinary Council's public list. It is not any official Hong Kong veterinary register. Absence from this site does not mean a hospital is unlicensed or unavailable.

Tiers and labels

Tier 1 — Hospital with listed specialists. At least one vet at the hospital is on an official specialist list. In Hong Kong that is the Veterinary Surgeons Board list of vets allowed to advertise as specialists. In Singapore that is the Singapore Veterinary Association list of veterinary specialists. We record the date we checked. The hospital also has equipment for complex cases: cancer, serious injuries, and major surgery.

Tier 2 — General hospital. A larger hospital that handles more complex cases than a neighbourhood clinic, such as certain tests and smaller surgeries. Some have advanced equipment. The difference from Tier 1 is a vet on one of those specialist lists.

Tier 3 — Neighbourhood clinic. Check-ups, vaccinations, and everyday problems.

Tiers describe the level of care, not who is better. Many everyday problems are handled by a neighbourhood clinic. Ask your regular vet if you are unsure.

Tier 1 needs at least one vet on the Hong Kong Veterinary Surgeons Board specialist list or the Singapore Veterinary Association specialist list, as checked by us on the date we record. A tier does not rate, rank, or compare the skill of any hospital or doctor.

We show board specialty credentials on a listing only after we check them. A tier is not a statement that we inspected the hospital or that a specialist college has accredited it.

Information from hospitals and checks

Addresses, specialties, equipment, services, prices, doctor names and qualifications come from the hospital or its own public pages. Appointment hours and closed days are set by the hospital. They are not shown on the public listing. They only decide which times a pet owner can request. A free-text opening-times note may still appear. Any of this may be out of date. We do not promise it is complete or current.

A check covers only the item and the date we show. A licence check is not a check of a doctor. A phone confirmation of a 24-hour number is not a licence check. A board-specialty check is not a check of the hospital's licence.

A listing, a tier, a badge or a position in search results is not a recommendation from us.

Emergencies

Do not use our forms in an emergency. They are not watched in real time. In an emergency, phone a 24-hour veterinary hospital or your regular vet now.

Our Emergency mode lists hospitals whose 24-hour number we confirmed by phone on the date shown next to it. Numbers and cover can change after that date. We stop showing a confirmed number 12 months after we confirmed it, unless we confirm it again. The date shown is the day we phoned. It is not a promise about any later day. We do not guarantee that a hospital will answer, has space, or will treat your pet. If you cannot get through, phone another hospital or your regular vet. Do not wait on this site.

A hospital that is not in Emergency mode may still offer emergency care. Its confirmed 24-hour number, when we have one, is in one box on its own page. Directory cards show that number only in Emergency mode. A 24-hour badge on a card does not include the number.

Next to a confirmed number we show: “Emergency line only. Call only if your pet needs urgent care now. For appointments, use Book Appointment.”

For pet owners

You may browse listings, read ratings, and send a Book Appointment request where that form is shown. That form only appears when the hospital is enrolled and has an email on file.

We pass Book Appointment details to that hospital and keep a copy so we can follow up. Your name, email, phone, and pet name stay hidden until the hospital presses View request. The day and time range you chose, your pet type, and the reason are shown before that. The hospital may decline before it opens the request. That decline is not a charge, and the hospital does not see your contact details. When the hospital opens the request, we email you once with a date and a clock, counted only across that hospital's opening hours. We do not give you the hospital's phone, email, or website. If you have not heard from the hospital, email us at hello@findvetspecialists.com. After it opens the request, it may confirm one time inside your range, suggest another time, or say it cannot help, and it may add a short note. That reply is not a charge.

A request is not a booking. The hospital does not have to reply. Any appointment, fee, or treatment dispute is between you and the hospital. Within each tier, hospitals with Refer and Book on this site are shown first. They pay us a fee when they open a request.

We are not responsible if an appointment is cancelled, changed, or missed. We do not have to step into a dispute between a pet owner and a hospital. We may help by email.

Private links we send you are for that request only. Do not share them. You must be 18 or over to use this site.

For veterinarians sending a referral

If you work at a hospital listed with us, that hospital receives a code for each active veterinarian. Enter the code on the hospital's Refer button. Do not share the code. It lets someone refer a case in that veterinarian's name. The code stops when the veterinarian is removed or inactive, when the listing is withdrawn, and 90 days after it was emailed.

The form asks for the pet owner's name, email, and phone, and a tick that the pet owner agreed to be contacted by the receiving hospital. We do not pay referring veterinarians. The receiving hospital handles the case. We do not guarantee a reply. If it declines before opening the request, it is not charged. After it opens the request, it sees your hospital's phone and email from the listing on file.

Private hospital links are for that request only. Do not share them.

For hospitals

Listing is free. Enrolment for Refer and Book Appointment is optional. We agree the fees with you and confirm them in writing by email. You accept these hospital terms when you agree the fees with us by email, and in any case when someone at your hospital first presses “View request (billable)”.

The fee is per request, in the listing currency (SGD or HKD), at the rate in that email. The billable moment is when someone at your hospital presses “View request (billable)”. We charge once per request even if it is opened again. Unopened requests are not billed. Declining a Book Appointment request before opening it is not a charge and does not reveal contact details. A reply to a Book Appointment request is not a charge.

If you pause, new Refer and Book forms are hidden. Requests you already received can still be opened and are billed at the agreed rate. If enrolment ends, requests are not billed and are not shown.

We invoice monthly, currently by Razorpay invoice. Pay within 14 days. Dispute an invoice by email to hello@findvetspecialists.com within 7 days of the invoice. We correct errors with a reversing entry. Fee changes need agreement by email.

Fees do not include any taxes that may apply. Any tax will be shown on the invoice.

If an invoice is still unpaid 14 days after it is due, we may pause your enrolment until it is paid.

You can end enrolment at any time by emailing hello@findvetspecialists.com.

We email you about each new request unless you choose otherwise on your private page. You can choose one summary a day at 9:00 am in your hospital's time, of requests not yet opened. Requests that arrive after 9:00 wait until the next morning. Urgent referrals still come at once. You can choose no emails. Then we keep the request on your private page and do not email you about it. Our team is still emailed if a request stays unopened. Changing this needs the edit PIN. This choice is about new requests sent to you. If a hospital declines a referral you sent, we still email you at once.

We never pay referring veterinarians. Each year we ask you by email to reconfirm the listing.

Changing your listing, hours, closed days, doctors, referral-code email, or private link from the private page needs an edit PIN. We email that PIN only to the hospital email on file. It is not shown on the page. Unlocking lasts 1 hour in that browser and ends when the browser closes. Opening requests, declining, and replying do not need the PIN. The PIN does not change when the private link changes.

You warrant that:

  • listing details, doctor names, qualifications, “specialist” or “vet” wording, and licence numbers are true;
  • you have each listed doctor's permission to publish their name, qualifications, licence number, photo, and where they studied;
  • when Singapore's specialist-title rules begin, anyone you list as a specialist is entitled to that title.
  • any 24-hour emergency number you give us is answered 24 hours a day, and you will tell us promptly if the number or your 24-hour cover changes. We may hide a number we cannot confirm.

Your hospital is responsible for the information it gives us, for answering any number it told us is 24-hour, and for all advice and treatment it provides.

If someone makes a claim against us because your hospital's listing, doctor profile, licence details or 24-hour information was wrong, your hospital will cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim, except to the extent our own negligence or fraud caused it.

We may pause or remove a listing if these terms are broken or if we cannot verify details.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to harm anyone, to send spam, or to submit false reviews or listings.

Do not scrape the directory in a way that overloads the service. Do not try to bypass sign-in, private links, or billing. Do not use the site if you are under 18.

If you submit a review, you allow us to display it on the site. We moderate reviews and may decline or remove any review.

Reviews

Ratings and comments are the opinions of the people who sent them, not ours. We do not check that the reviewer was a client. We may refuse or remove any review.

Other companies

Hospitals, Google Maps, payment providers and email providers are separate businesses. We are not responsible for their websites, services, fees or treatment.

Availability and accuracy

We aim to keep the site available. We do not promise it will always be up, complete, or free of errors. Hours, fees, and services can change without notice on this site.

We may add, edit, hide, or remove listings. We may change how Refer and Book work.

Where the law allows, we may suspend or close a referring veterinarian's account, and we may change or stop any part of the site.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, or any liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

For hospitals: our liability for a claim is capped at the greater of 100 in your listing currency (SGD 100 or HKD 100) or the fees your hospital paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

For pet owners and referring veterinarians (you use the site free of charge): we do not use a general money cap. We are not liable for indirect loss that was not reasonably foreseeable.

We are not liable for the hospital's advice, treatment, prices, or failure to reply.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The date above is the current version. If a change matters to how you use the site, we will say so on this page. Fee changes for enrolled hospitals still need agreement by email.

Governing law and disputes

Anything to do with a hospital (a hospital's enrolment and billing, or a pet owner's or referring vet's request to or dealings with a hospital) is governed by the law of the country where that hospital is listed, and that country's courts: Singapore law and courts for hospitals listed in Singapore, Hong Kong law and courts for hospitals listed in Hong Kong. Everything else about using the site is governed by Singapore law and courts.

Before going to court, both sides first try to resolve the dispute by email to hello@findvetspecialists.com for 30 days. These terms do not use arbitration. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under local consumer or privacy law that cannot be excluded.
